Default arby's low carb wraps

wow has anyone had these. I stopped last night and got one since I was late getting off of work. It was funny though because they asked if I wanted the meal deal. I said whats in the meal deal. of course fries and a drink. I said no thats why I ordered LOW CARB. I then started laughing at him. I guess he realized duh!! He said he was sorry when I got to the window. I asked how many carbs there were and he said about 18. I need to get on there site and see for sure. the wraps are really big and fill you up. I loved it and I guess it was all legal because this morning it didn't knock me out of ketosis. I will be getting that again sometime.

While we're been scrambling doing things to get the store open, home cooked meals are slipping, and Arby's wraps have come in handy. They don't impact me either, and I wonder if the 18gms isn't total carbs, not net. Not like any drive up window order taker would probably be informed of the difference...

Make your own wraps, then you'll KNOW what's in 'em. I use Tam-x-ico's low carb wheat gluten tortillas and layer them with lettuce, mayo, mustard, turkey and/or chicken, and sometimes a tomato. Just 5 net carbs per wrap. They are so thick I can hardly wrap them up.

And SOOOOO good...

I had my first Arby's wrap today. I had the Ultimate Bacon wrap, which was listed as being 17 grams of net carbs (I didn't eat the "empty" ends of the wrap, so I would say mine was less, but I don't know how much less), and I also had a garden Market Salad. The salad was nice...lettuce, red onion, a little bit of shredded carrot, a few grape tomatoes, and a few pieces of cucumber. I asked for it without dressing (which comes in a separate cup) because I knew I had dressing at my office. It came with a little packet of tortilla strips and some saltines, but I liked that this stuff was separate instead of right on the salad because then I could just throw them away. The wrap filled me up well, and now I am making my way through the salad (have been working on in off and on for like an hour). The wrap had a couple of slices of their thick-sliced pepper bacon, some great non-iceberg lettuce, a few slices of tomato, and a little bit of mayonnaise. I would definitely recommend these to someone who needs a quick meal. I would like to know, however, the number of carbs in just the wrap because I don't count veggie carbs at all, so I would like to know how many countable-for-me carbs are in this meal. If someone finds this out, please post it here so we can all know!

Happy Friday!

MARY, I will ask next time I go and get one. I got another one last night. I really like them. they are so fresh. I bet most of the carbs are from the tortilla itself because I can't see the other stuff being that high. I like arbys anyways. there stuff is always so fresh and good. at least around here it is.

I walked by an Arby's in my local mall a few days ago, and I saw no sign that they had any low carb products there. Anyway, the carb counts look too high for my preferences.

they obviously arnt useing a very LC wrap if the count is that high... unless its extreamly stuffed w/ higher carb veggies..or alot of fillers in there meat...
but then agin when i looked at turkey lunch meat slices i couldnt belive how high in carbs it was . im sorry getting rid of 19 carbs in one meal w/ just a sandwich style wrap isnt worth it to me.. i would rather just eat a salad.. if i was out and about... or get a sandwich and eat only the meat.. ]

For those of us who eat higher carb counts (like I eat up to 50 grams each day, not including fruits and veggies), these Arby's wraps are a definite meal possibility. However, I agree that in the early stages of Atkins, they would not be a good idea, since they do have a high carb count. I like to have them on days when my breakfast was very low carb and I already know that my dinner will also be. However, to each his own! I still would be interested in exactly what the wrap alone entails...

might be the TORTILLA CHIPS AND CRACKERS AND or dressing that were mentioned as coming with the wrap that made the carb count soar.. i have to agree that the wrap and veggies and meat shouldnt make it that high.. most of the wraps themselves are from 5-10 net carbs...

i would love to know who makes the subway ones.. they are BIG.. and the mission ones that big are 10 carbs... the ones subway uses say they are only 5 carbs net... hmmmmmmmm i sure WISH i could find the subway ones somewhere in packages... they are nice..

Oh, I had the beef and cheddar LC wrap yesterday - talk about good! It's nice to have an alternative for a treat now and then.

I love that Arby's have the low carb wraps -- hope they all keep coming up with options. Lucky for me, they do not seem to impact my progress. So go Arbys!!
