Default Possible Causes to Bloating??

OK I've read and seen many threads on this...but now I can't find them :(

In the last week my scale started at 306....crept up to 309....and is at 311 today! *shocked*

I've been feeling bloated and my stomach feels huge and rock hard instead of the nice squishy one I was enjoying. I know my TOM should be arriving soon but I also know it's not consistent on this WOL and I've had no signs of it arriving.

My meals have been nothing different, in fact I've continued to cut things (such as not as much SF Jell-o and eating whole foods only). I'm getting more than enough of my water now that I'm outside in 80+ temps half the day. I know I could be exercising more but I haven't changed in that to think it would reflect this change.

In fact, the only change I have made is adding the essential oils and lglutamine to my supplement regiment. And changing my vitamin to OneADay Weight Smart.

I'm not going to obsess over this number but it does concern me. Any ideas?

Knowles,

I too have blown up like a balloon--up from 188.5 to 192.5 over the last couple of days--I know it is TOM, but it is still really frustrating to not be able to keep that from happening. I drank almost 2 gallons yesterday--at least. I walked 10 miles and still knowing I was going to be up due to TOM, can't help being frustrated.. My stomach too is firmer and I was up an inch around the waist and in the belly this morning--proof that it is bloatinga nd that the fluids will soon have a rason to leave--TOM will be over--hopefully next week, but the way I am it might be two weeks before it leaves--I have my moments! I have had a weird cycle this time. Chalk it up to fluid retention--konwing you haven't done anything different and drink an extra bottle of water today.

The only bloating I've experienced didn't necessarily some with a big weight gain because mine was due to lactose intolerance and undigested food fermenting in my lower intestine. Gross, I know. I pop a lactase supplement now if I have dairy and I am taking TwinLabs Pancreatin capsules when I consume any kind of carbohydrate. (My body doesn't produce even minimal amount of amylase, the enzyme that breaks down carbs.) ANY undigested food can cause bloating, as well as the usual suspects: broccoli, beans, boiled eggs, etc. Just my 2 cents!
