Default One A Day Carb Smart

Has anyone tried these yet or know exactly what they do? Saw the commerical about them on TV but missed some of what they said since I was preoccupied...I am currently taking the One A Day Weight Smart Multi Vitamin but was wondering if the Carb Smart would be mroe beneficial since I am following a Carb Conscious Lifestyle.

Well, I did a web search for this product and found it at the oneaday.com website...it's a multivitamin that provides more of the nutrients you need while following a lc lifestyle - especially if you'renot getting enough of your nutrients from whole grains or pasta - so am thinking of switching over to this instead of the Weight Smart...plus it contains more Biotin which gives you more energy...you can read what all it does on the website...might be a little more expensive than the Weight Smart but I'm sure it will be well worth the price.

Sheyla,

I think it's important to take a good quality multi-vitamin, bu I'm a little suspicious of any claim that low-carbers are missing vital nutrients by not eating bread or pasta. Neither bread nor pasta provides much of anything in the way of nutrition, and certainly nothing that can't be found elsewhere. The abundant vegetables that are part of a low-carb plan ensure we're gettgin plenty of the B vitamins and anti-oxidants the folks at One-a-Day are concerned about. And it's interesting that they also caution that we may be low in potassium and calcium, yet their vitamins provide only 3% and 20%, respectively, of those elements.

In my opinion, while these may be decent vitamins in general, I wouldn't pay extra for the "low-carb" marketing gimmick. Fitday.com can give you a pretty good idea of your nutrient intake and point up any possible deficiencies.

Best wishes,

I began taking One a Day Carb Smarts almost 2 weeks ago. Before I was taking the GNC multi vitamin and that thing is Huge, almost too big for me swallow.
What attracted to me to the One a Day was first, that it is made by One a Day and I trust them, second it has Biotin and third it was on sale, $6 for a bottle of 50 and I had a $2 of coupon. It's almost always on sale at some store here every week. I think it's worth a shot, I haven't noticed a difference between it and the one from GNC yet.
