Default Anyone know where to get an inexpensive scale

Hello everyone. My name is Rick and i'm new here. I am just starting LC. Does anyone know where I can find an inexpensive scale that will register over 400 lbs. It hard to gage progress when you can't weigh yourself. Thanks.

Have you tried Bed, Bath & Beyond or Linen & Things? You might be able to find one on the internet also. Good luck!

I know that Tanita makes a bathroom scale (model HD-351 ) that goes to 440 lbs. They generally retail between 72 - 79 bucks. Siltec makes one as well, for about the same price.

Hi rick,
I found my Tanita digital scales at Walgreen's if you have those stores.

I bought an inexpensive scale from a mail order catalog. However, I'm not sure it was a very good choice. If you can spend a little more, you'll get a better quality product that will last you a long time. The spring-driven model I have doesn't seem very accurate. In fact, it's been registering the SAME WEIGHT for months and months, so I'm very suspicious! : )

Seriously though--for the first few weeks or months of this WOE, you'll be able to measure significant progress in your waistband, your sleeves, even your socks! You won't need a scale to know you're doing the job right. Use a tape measure and a mirror.
