Default A Different Way of Thinking

Well, this was my 2nd weekend not to binge-eat like I usually do. Although I did not lose any weight, I am still happy to announce that I did not gain either. It made it all worth the effort, too. I was scared to step on the scale 'cuz i was sure I would have gained something but i finally took a deep breath and got on and to my amazement, the same weight!

Since yesterday, I have been pondering the thoguht of having the special in the cafeteria at my work - definitely a starch meal - Patty melts with jo jo's. It sounds good. And I've thought about it. Even worked out extra hard this morning. But then my mind started askimg me questions - like 'could you really eat all that?' why waste $3 when you can bring a homemade lunch and it will be better for you and you'll feel better and be healthier? And look at you, you're only 3 lbs away from 119...and you didn't binge on the weekend so if you binge now, won't you undo what you worked so harrd to do during the weekend? You're doing so good now. Why stop?

Enough said...it talked me out of that high starch meal...so off to work I go with some boiled eggs, salad with lc dressing and a slice of whole grain bread of which I finally have NO FEAR!

lol, know how you feel

I know there aren't many things I truely miss - hamburgers with buns....
is one of them... I was going to stop on saturday after the gym and get me and DH a hamburger from Sonic (new lc friendly buns), but I got to thinking, I have hamburgers in the freezer, lc bread, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, etc...
and there are some buns for DH.... So... I called him from the gym, had him get out the burgers, and told him I would cook when I get home. It was a great burger, two slices of LC bread toasted and smotherd with mayo, grilled onions, pickles, tom, letc, etc....that was great....I have learned that I don't need that non-lc food as much as I thought I would, sometimes of course I fall down, but most of the time I try to stick to my food I bring to work for lunch and breakfast, and eat great at night for dinner....
Have a great day
