| i just started the atkins diet about a week ago and started lifting weights about 2 weeks ago. i haven't spent any time in the gym in about 4 years. i'm horribly sore and was looking at supplements to help with the soreness. could anyone tell me if L-Glutamine would be ok while doing the atkins diet or would it have counter-effects? the book says that we can take 500mg prior to each meal to curb sugar cravings, but one serving of the L-Glutamine powder is 4,500mg. |

| Well i have a body builder friend who uses l-glutamine, now im not sure about the high concentrated dosage, but i do take the 500 mg dose twice a day, been taking them for 3 months, and have had no problems with them.
