Default Calories too low?

I just put into Fitday all that I have eaten today and all that I planned to have for dinner, and my total calorie count clocked in at less than 1000 calories. And I would say that what I ate today is typical of one of my good days (which are become more and more common now). But I don't think this is enough calories...isn't the whole point of this that many of us are counting carbs and not calories? I don't know if this has been an ongoing thing for me, since I have never used Fitday before. So what does everyone think? If something like this happens to you, do you add in food, even if you are not hungry? I think I might have some avocado with dinner, which was going to be just chicken and a vegetable. But I don't want to randomly add stuff in that I don't need. What is your feeling on the calorie thing?

I've been feeling the same way. So I have been trying to use the mayonnaise, cream and other low-carb, hi-calorie to add some in. I think that is what they are trying to do with the higher-fat content.
By cutting our carbs so much, we are naturally cutting the calories unless we go to the higher calorie foods/condiments. Mine was around 1000 regularly - I find I have to add items to get it any higher. But I'm not hungry!!!

I think this has all been holding me back. I was keeping the carbs around 15-25, calories around 1000-1200 - not so much cause I was trying to, it just kept happening.
Now I am up to 40-60 carbs (real carbs, not subtracting the fiber) and 1200-1400 calories. I needed to do this, and it seems to have helped in starting to lose again.

at least I hope so.

Too few calories is often the more frequent culprit in a stalled weight loss program. Especially on a low carb plan. Try adding in 2 snacks a day and get the calories up to around 1500.

I have to be careful not to eat too many, but have to really watch not to be under about 1100 either. I do best about 1400-1600.

If I get under 1000 I stall/stop losing and occasionally don't feel well either!
