Unhappy back from CA vacation .... uh oh!

hey guys ... hope everyone is doing well!
well, i got back from my san francisco vacation (w/ BF) last nite. took today off of work to unpack and clean.
anyway ... i TOTALLY fell off the wagon on the trip. let me explain, when i started this WOE back in january, i told myself (and friends/family) that i would "try it" til i left for this vacation.
so, in the back of my head - i knew i wanted to "loosen the reins" while i was on this trip. so i'm not really beating myself up over the mess up ....
but i'm still a little frustrated and unsure about what to do now.
now, don't holler - but i honestly thought well, maybe this is my time to ease back into a lower calorie, lower fat, reduced carb diet. AGH! bad mindset.
i just don't know which way to go at this point. i have lost about 10 lbs since i started this WOE, which is not a lot.
maybe it's not for me?? i don't know.
well, even though i'm confused, i'm going to start back on induction today. i'll go for about 10-14 days. i need to de-tox and get back to exercise.
after that, i'll figure out the rest of my plan .... :(

didn't do much exercise in CA - but walked A LOT! and those hills are killers! calves are still sore.
any suggestions or direction would kindly appreciated.

Hi cgilson,
Welcome home ! You are right in not *beating* yourself up...move on.
Personally, I would do about 5-7 days worth of *damage* control, with induction level carbs, start drinking the appropriate amounts of water again, get going with the exercise again, and see where you are at the end of the 7 days.
Have you thought about South Beach or CALP? One of those plans might be more right for you...just a thought, or customize Atkins a little more to suit you.
Good luck with the rest of your weight loss journey
Let us know how it's going for you.
HTH

Welcome back. Glad you had a good time.

As far as rethinking your eating plan - ya gotta do what is right for you. You are already at a lower weight than a lot of people this really does work very well for.
I'm back in induction for 3 days - finally managed to get the carbs up to a reasonable level for 2 weeks with the Curves group, but still not a lot of activity. So, thought I would surprise my body with a few days of low carbs. Actually, that is part of the Curves plan anyhow. I just cant go HIGH carbs like it suggests. So, 40-60 is good enough for me - now back to 20 for a few days.

Sure don't want to go into the holiday weekend with that though

I can't go high carbs either... I stay Fairly close to induction.. yes, I agree.. we each have to customize the plan to suit our individual needs.

Isn't Frisco great? Did you take any of the tours, or eat at Bubba Gumps? We went 2 years ago, dh had the terriffic idea that we could walk from Fishermans Wharf to Lombard st. hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! I almost DIED!!! -face was purple, and I was gasping for breath! I would have killed him, if only I could have caught my breath! lol

You are doing fine! It looks like you only have another 12 or so lbs to reach your goal, the last ones just seem to come off more slowly! I would just 'tweak' your woe to suit yourself, and make sure you are getting your exercise, and drinking your water! Good luck! :-)

Welcome back Carrie!

I think your mindset when you started Lc was just right. "Let's give this woe a try and see what happens." With the experience you've gained, you can now make a another choice of eating plans that suit your needs best. No need to beat yourself up. You accomplished what you set out to do.

What you decide to do now will be key.
