Question How much is too much?

I really like this flaxseed meal I bought. I was wondering, it has 1 net carb per 1/2 cup serving. It is all fiber but 1 g. Can I have this everyday for an after meal craving stopper?

A lot of people use flaxmeal for their morning cereal. Check the recipe section--I love it.

I would think you could eat a 1/2 cup a day safely, so long as you drink enough water to process the fiber. Flaxseed is so good for you; it's practically a miracle food, you know - chock full of EFAs. The EFAs (essential fatty acids) have a beneficial effect on heart health (helping to control cholestrol and blood pressure), and they help fight inflammation, among other things.

Flaxseed also contains lignans, which research suggests may have antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial properties.

There's a lot more about it - The Omega Solution, by Jonathan Goodman goes into a lot of detail about the benefits of EFAs, lignans, and flaxseed.
