The stats are very wierd. His weight went from 140 to 148 in 2 months??

That's nothing major (one pizza and I can do that...)

Very weird story....

I'm taking a small business course right now, learning about how to make companies grow. My instructor says, generally, once you get sued, you know you're doing something right.

It just amazes me how much time people have on their hands. I'd kill to be 148 pounds. I can't imagine that its healthy for a man, though...I highly doubt that he did the diet correctly.

just my opinion...

And they imply that he was on the diet for 2 months when his cholesterol shot up.

Just a poorly written story.

Angry Re: Ok..the Pcrm Has Gone Too Far!!!

...and....once AGAIN, this article FAILS to include VEGGIES as one of the MAIN items consumed by Atkins followers!

This is why I asked for a LC Defender statement in another thread! Boy does that ever burn my butt!!!!!!!!!

I was furious on my way home yesterday listening to the radio.

The annoucer was talking about some fad (SUV purchases) and went on to say "And speaking of fads...it finally looks like the Low Carb fad is going to fizzle out and die..someone has finally sued the Atkins Corporation for their unhealthy diet..."

It went on to mention that the Florida guy is a millionaire (I guess that's why he can launch a frivolous lawsuit...).

What worried me was that they said the lawyers were slubbering over this one cause they saw a class action lawsuit in the works.

It will be another one of those things were everybody will jump on the bandwagon and blame Atkins and LowCarb for all the years of Carb consumption that may have caused their health issues and 2 months on Atkins did not fix it.

Yet ANOTHER reason to put up our 'armor' and be DEFENDERS of LCWOE! (I am picturing a SuperHero costume with LC lettering on the front - LOL).

LC Man (or woman) to the RESCUE, please!

Sorry so goofy, but hey, it's Friday before a long weekend, I'm wound up!

So if anyone hears of a call from the defense for some Defenders of the Faith, let us know so we can all stand up and call this what it is, which I won't print here because this is a family friendly site! My first reaction when I heard this blurb on the news yesterday was, "Then he wasn't doing it right."

He was eating cheesecake three times a week. And his sister had a heart attack and really high cholesterol, too. Maybe he's just dumb?

This is along the lines of the 12 slices of Roast Beef. Lack of any common sense on your own behalf should not be reason for suing anyone.
