| I am not very happy with myself. I got on the scale expecting to stay the same...with my time of ovulation...but I gained 3lbs. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not done anything differently this week than I did in the previous weeks. I do feel bloated(my wrists are puffy)....but I don't know what caused this. This is the first time since I started this WOL that I have gained ...its been a continual loss each week until today. Could it have been the Italian seasoning on the package chicken breasts I have eated the past two nights??? Could it have been the two or three tator tots I ate last night...or the one spoonful(teaspoon) of canned corn I had last night??? I know I should not be beating myself down for the gain....afterall I have worked hard and have lost 33lbs.....but I hate seeing the gain regardless of the reasons. Advice, support, reassurance....PLEASE Kristin....who can now not enjoy the holiday weekend eating :o(

| Some things I have learned while tracking my weight daily. . . About 11 days before I expect my monthly visitor, my weight will go up a few pounds, then back to where I was over the course of 2 or 3 days. I can eat a less than perfect bread item and be OK, but only a little bit of potato will spike me up for a day or 2. My weight will go up & down in relation to my weight bearing workout days - I weigh more 2 days after than I did the day after. A cured-meat day will impact my weight, while a fresh-meat day will not. Sodium, maybe? And, as I get closer to my goal I have noticed (and I see you're pretty close to your goal) the fluctuations are more frequent, and actual scale number loss is much slower. My monthly actually affects my scale weight more now than it did 30 pounds ago. You're doing great, don't panic, your results will change as your body changes. You can't expect it to do the same things when it's so radically different! Keep the faith! Stacie 222/144/140 |

| stacie's right. i go up and down all the time, which i happen to know about because i'm a daily weigher. if you're feeling puffy, chances are your retaining water. don't let it throw you, just keep on keeping on, lady!

| It sounds like you're retaining water, but why are you eating tater tots and corn? Even if it's just a bit, it's not going to help in the long run. Those are the kinds of foods we should be eliminating. |

| I made tator tots and corn for the girls for dinner and I threw away most of the left overs....but popped a few tots in my mouth...and didnt even like them. Habit I guess. I did the same with the spoon of corn before I gave it to the dogs. I don't typically eat that stuff..... Kristin

| It could well be just some water weight from eating the high carb tater tots and creamed corn. I've read that carbohydrates take more water to metabolize, so your body may be retaining extra water to handle the carbs. That happens to me if I eat something carby - I gain 2 to 4 lbs overnight. If that's the case for you, the excess should pass in a day or two.
