    Default One Year LC Anniversary

Actually it is tomorrow, but I do not go on the computer during the weekend.

What gets me is that many people are always asking: ?Are you STILL on that Atkins diet??

Although I haven?t really lost much weight during the second half, I am very happy with this WOE. I have lost enough where I feel good about myself and get enough compliments. Best of all, this is the first plan where I am sure I can do it for life. I am surprised how easy it really is to stick with it now that I have conditioned my eating habits.

I am not sure if I would have stuck to it without this forum. Without it I may have given up and returned to my unhealthy weight level, which was triggering heart issues.

Thanks to everyone here and especially LCandrea.

    Hey RKC,
I'm nearing my one year anniversary in July, and I too agree with everything you said. I lost 35 pounds in the first 5 months, and absolutely nothing more since then. However, people still ask me all the time "are you STILL on the Atkins diet?" And I always reply "I'm on it for life!"

I'm very happy with the results I got, and I'm even exercising now so much more than I did in the past. I love my food selection, and I don't find thie WOE difficult at all. This forum has helped me in so many ways, so a big thanks to everyone on here.

    To another year!

    Thanks Everyone,

Hi Wolfman, I was waiting for your results to see if I should try that. Guess I probably won't anytime soon. Thanks! My plan to is keep going like this for at least new years, and then if I REALLY need to lose more weight I will also count calories.

Congratulations on your first year anniversary! You've proved you can stick with it, even through the slow to no weight loss periods. And feeling better is what this woe/wol is all about!

its amazing how people want you to quit .. or at the very least are incredulous when you are still eating on plan... what they dont seem to get is... even though you might not be losing weight slowly or if all.. they dont see that you see this as the important way of MAINTAINING that loss..*L*... as IF we would magically stay the weight we want by going back to old bad eating habits.. amazing isnt it?
best wishes on continued success and health roady... you done good..;-)

Congrats to you! And don't worry, when all your naysayers are dead YEARS before you are, (due to lack of a healthy lifestyle) you can spend your last years as an old, old man without hearing "are you STILL on that diet?"
