| on a recent camping trip i found myself having to cook for a group of people who were all in various stages of early attempts at this woe. i realized that everyone was very fat phobic and for the first time in a long while i was self concious about the amount of fat i use in my cooking.(i dont use a lot but i guess i'm just not as sparing as others are with things like real butter). then i remembered how hard it was for me to get over this same fear when i first started this woe. i would look at a stick of butter or the leftover bacon grease in the pan and all i could see were rolls and spare tires. in the midst of this line of thinking, i started to mix up a batch of bisquick pancakes for the kids. the funniest thing happened; when i looked down into the bowl at the white pasty batter, all i could see was pure cellulite. i just wanted to remark on how amazing it is that by changing my way of eating, i really changed my way of thinking. we sure have come a long way on this journey. sarah started (this time around) 2/16/04 185/161/125 |
