| Hi there! I have great news to report, however I am confused a bit. I have now been eating low carb for 4 weeks now and in OWL stage (which ROCKS by the way!). Things are going GREAT! I feel good and clothes are starting to fit me well. WOOHOO!!! The only werid thing is I am still at about 7-8 pounds lost but I have lost many many inches everywhere else. Hips - 4" Waist - 3" Thighs - 1.5" per thigh Arms - 1" per arm Ribcage - 3.5" Total = 13" I do have a moderate amount of weight to lose (20-30 pounds total), but is it weird that I am not losing the weight? I am so sorry if this topic sounds like a broken record (i'm sure it has been posted MANY many times) however I am looking for some advice. I am eating about 30 grams of net carbs per day and writing everything down (which I think is important) that goes into my mouth, drinking TONS of water, and eating my veggies. I don't want to reduce my carbs any more than the 30g per day because I am pretty active (I play competitive ice hockey 2 times per week, walk everywhere, am a massage therapy student so I massage people which is hard physical work, and participate in aquafitness class 1 time per week). I dunno, maybe I am too hard on myself??? Any suggestions, advice or comments? I am VERY happy however that I have better fitting clothing. Yay for me! Krystyne (hockeygirl) |

| at your activity level, the 30g per day may be too low. If you are too low, your body will not let go of the weight. You should try to go up instead. Looking at your activity, you may have better success at the 50-60g per day. Start working up there (adding in the 5 per week) and see if it shakes the weight loose. Several people have found very slow or no loss due to their carbs being too low for their activity level.

| Kinda going through the same thing although I have a TON of weight to lose. After initially dropping a bunch very fast now it is dropping sloooow but....I am getting smaller which is really the important thing so I can wait. And yes...with not a lot to lose yours will go very slow probably, just stick with it it will go I'm positive.

| Just remember: muscle is MUCH denser than fat. Losing fat will translate more easily into "inches" than "pounds." ... and inches is what the rest of the world sees, anyway.
