Default How can U eat ALL that & stay thin?

It was the one question that I would assume would come sooner or later, and last night just happened to be the night!

My dh has a conference on the coast this week so went with him and knew we were having a BBQ last night so went swimming for an hour and was determined to eat the burger w/o the bun and all so I could enjoy at least a little dessert - and really watched my intake during the day time, too. Just one oz of almonds and 1/2 c navy bean/ham soup. A little on the high side in sodium so drank lots and lots and lots of water to counteract any retention.
So there I was, after eating 2 hamburger patties and enjoying some coleslaw and lotsa cucumber salad with olive oil and vinegar dressing eating some dessert...and the lady sitting across from me asked that one question. Of course, I had food in my mouth when she asked that so my husband answered for me and told her that it's very rare I ever eat like that. It's not typical...but the question was awesome! I still have 15 lbs to go, and people are already thinking I am thin! And a lot of them never even realized I had a weight problem! I use to ask other people who were rail thin that same ? - and now it looks like the tide has been reversed.

WOO HOO!

And of course, I was up this morning, running...and running....

They tell me that all the time at work, i work in fast food so i take a bag of food to work with me everyday. i have about 3 or 4 items in my bag, and then i'll have a salad most days also, and they always say everytime i see you, you have something in your mouth, how can that happen. And i tell them that im changing the way my body burns fuel so i have to eat something every few hours so my body will constantly work for me and not against me. they shake their heads because they just dont understand the concept of metabolism. most still think that not eating will help them lose weight. and they are so hard headed , you cant tell them anything.

Don't tell anybody, but I often overload my plate in public intentionally, trying to evoke comments about how much I eat. Gives me a chance to tout the bounty and beauty of low-carbing!
