| I just wanted to let the world know that I have lost 50lbs in 5 months on atkins and I feel great. There are alot of doubters out there and man have I heard them all, but it has been the only thing that has worked for me. Im half way to my goal and am looking forward to reaching it. I work in the public eye of sorts and many of my customers have said such nice things and my friends are even saying things. that is what keeps me going. So any one out there who doubts atkins can shove it because it does work and good luck to anyone who is trying it for the first time. It does take alot of will power and work but let me tell you its worth it. I can now run after my nieces without having to stop to catch my breath. So good luck newbies. Meg p.s. I am looking forward to my vaction so I can enjoy myself now. 300/250/200 |

| Congragulations to you on your 50 lbs gone - forever! I know this is one of the best things I have ever done for my health and well-being. I'm glad there was finally a doctor out there who figured out how people could be satisfied and still lose weight and feel their best ever! And of course, at work today, someone was passing around donuts and came through my office and made the comment 'everyone around here is so Atkins friendly.' Could it be this is finally becoming a way of life for the United States? Are we finally learning what it means to be healthy? Is the food pyramid finally go to change its ways? I keep asking myself these questions as I hear about more and more people doiing this woe... Anyway, congragulations to you once again! Sheyla 186/122/105 5 ft and 1/2 inch tall - small frame |

| Once I hit my mid-forties, I couldn't lose weight anymore - except by the most drastic reduction of food intake, and even then I only lost a few ounces. I was a Life Member of Weight Watchers and just couldn't understand why it didn't work for me anymore. On minimum WW points I just barely managed to keep from gaining weight. So, the idea of losing 30 or 40 lbs after age 50 was just a wild dream. Imagine my surprise and delight when I lost 9 lbs in the first 3 weeks of low carb! I never lost at that rate again, but I continued to lose steadily while eating delicious - even luxurious - meals. It wasn't all easy, but learning the pitfalls, do's and don'ts, and a host of new recipes made it very doable. Sometimes, I'm still amazed.

| Meg, Many congrats, and thanks for sharing your great news! I love to hear the success stories - it gives me so much hope. I was in a meeting recently with a woman who was complaining that she had to give up cream cheese because her tryglycerides were high and her doctor put her on a low fat diet. At this point, she's obviously heard of LC, so I didn't pipe up and preach to her, but I was sure counting my blessings at having found another path! I may say something to her later, but I have a feeling that she's already made up her mind. Best wishes for your continued success! Staci |

| Meg-Good for you! Actions DO speak louder than words! People may not want to listen when we talk about lowcarb....but after they SEE lowcarb in action, they want to hear about it then! Sheyla-I hope the answer to your questions is YES! It would be so great if the pyramid gets revamped and the Surgeon General and everyone else of great influence will finally admit they were wrong. Our L/C "craze" could have HUGE positive effects on the overworked healthcare system and eventually help to drive down insurance costs. Just my opinion!
