| Hey all! Well I just got back from a lovely relaxing long weekend (I'm from Canada) up in northern Ontario! During the trip the DH's family had a delicious looking rhubarb pie that they were all sharing and raving about. For my dessert I stuck to the plan and had my LC chocolate cake with LC cream cheese icing. It rocked! Satisfied the sweet tooth and I enjoyed my dinner right through to dessert. So I am very happy I stuck to the plan. The only thing is that I consumed some low carb beers up there. But I think I combatted that with all the swimming, walking and hiking up there! I really enjoyed myself. I may be a bit out of ketosis but hopefully it will resume in the next day or so when I diligently watch what I am eating. I learned not to be in any hurry with the weight loss thing. It took me 2 years to gain 25-30 extra pounds and it will take at least that long to get back there. No fad diets for me! Just a healthy eating plan both food-wise and psychologically (I can realistically treat myself once in awhile). Still drinking my water too! OH YAH! Bring on some blueberry pie next time DH's family! ...I CAN handle it. Yessss...a good feeling. Happy and having no cravings, Krystyne P.S> I am not stepping on the scale every week either - maybe once a month is good enough. More weight loss will come, I just have to give it some time (it doesn't take long right??) |

| Good for you, Krystyne! Nothing quite like northern Ontario - I've spent some time near Parry Sound. You've done a major thing here by respecting your own choices in what to eat and drink.

| Great job, Krystyne! It's not always easy handling mealtimes at large gatherings - nobody likes to draw attention to what may look like "picky eating." Good thinking, bringing your own LC dessert. Way to go! Staci |

| Krystyne With all the activity you had, you could probably 'afford' the few lc beers. Way to stick to your choices and make it work!
