| I don't know if anyone here will be able to help me but its worth a try. I recently went to the doctor for a physical for nursing school that i will start in August (YEAH!!) well. my blood test results came back normal except for one part the MPV. I had these tests done on May 21 and havent heard anyhting from the doctor about anything being abnormal i happened to see it when i was looking at a copy of the results! I looked up on the interenet what MPV may stand for. Possibly "mean Platelet volume" according to the website i found it measures theaberage sive of platelets. A higher then normal MPV can be associtated with increased risk of Heart attack and strokes. Any thoughts??? I'm only 22 and in pretty good health i've reached my goal weight, eat very healthy (NOW). I'm somewhat worried |

| From the online search I conducted, MPV in relation to blood tests does, indeed, mean Mean Platelet Volume. I found this article which may be helpful by way of explanation. Make a point to speak with your doctor regarding your concerns about this, and please keep us posted.
