| If you would prefer other LC vegetables to salad, go for it! Lots of us don't limit green leafy veggies, or such lc veggies as broccoli and cauliflower.

| Cooked veggies sound fine to me. Not everybody likes salads, I guess. You might find that your taste for these things changes over time. Low-carbing seems to make me crave salads, not because they're good for me, but because I just crave something fresh, crisp, and non-greasy to put in my mouth.

| I have to agree with everyone. I don't think salads are essential but they sure give you nice quick uncooked alternatives to cooked vegetables. There have been many days that I didn't eat salad since I started this woe, for a variety of reasons. Not the least of which was I refused to buy cardboard tomatoes for $3.00 a pound in January. Counting the carbs is probably the best way to achieve good results.

| I agree also... if your diet is working, don't worry... whatever works best for you... I am lucky enough to love salads, so I dont have this problem. I do know someone who does, and they hate most salad vegetables, but they take a multi vitamin, and eat something different, and they are losing.

| Oh, I am definitely taking a daily multi-vitamin from GNC every day. I feel like I can tell performance wise if I didn't take it. |

| I am not really a salad person and so I have one maybe once in a week. I eat primarily green beans and broccoli daily and it's served me well!

| This is just my own opinion, and many may well disagree, but I found it the most simple to eat 20 carbs worth of veggies from the Induction list - be they from salads, zucchini, cauliflower, whatever. Keeps things simple & not boring. |
