I do NOT work for this company . . . uh, so I hope it's ok to mention this product? Penzeys Spices (trust me, I have NO doubt you're all going *head-desk-gah-noob* right now)
But, I got turned on to them by a co-worker this holiday season with a gift pack - and it's been puffy heart girly foodie love ever since.

Anyhow, making the cauli mash - aka faux-potatoes right now - I cooked up the cauliflower with a little chicken broth and a liberal dose of Penzys' Fox Point (per their label - salt, shallots, chives, garlic, onion and green peppercorns)

omGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWD - ok, I love this stuff, but the real kicker??? Mr. Man (that's what I call my hubby) acutally came into the kitchen, did the finger swipe in the food thing (gotta get a .45 for the kitchen, really, what is with that????) and said "That's different, did you add some veggies to your mashed potatoes honey???"

TEEEHEEE he has NO idea there are NO potatoes in this dish!!!

I LOVE Penzey's! I've not tried Fox Point, but some of their basic herbs and spices are staples in my otherwise undistinquished kitchen, and I've never been disappointed. Their Extra Fancy Vietnamese Cinnamon is so good it'll bring tears to your eyes.
