i did look at this because i couldn't remember if i've tried their fruit spreads or not. i tried something like that before but i don't remember who made it. but it looks from the nutritionals like they're using spenda now for all the ones i could find, in case anybody is wondering.

AS far as I've seen they do NOT use SA's. I like the jams to mix with real berries and SF syrup to thicken fruit sauces to top my OMM's with. I mostly find myself mixing WF's stuff with other things, yanno, like a base.

We tried WF sweet onion salad dressing, it's pretty good! Wish we could find it in a grocery store, but we have limited grocery capacity here, anyway. Even with a new WalMart Supercenter, it's not likely that we'll ever see any WF product within 100 miles of here. So, it'll be internet shopping for it.

I made chicken parmesan. Chicken dredged in beaten egg and parm cheese and browned in pan. THEN, topped w/ Walden Farms Bruschetta. It is 1 carb for 2 tbls, but I just used 1 tbl per breast. Topped w/ mozarella (sp?) and baked. It was GOOD! Next time I'll beat the chicken breasts flatter. I was a little put off by the thickness of the chicken breasts. (not relevant to the taste of the WF bruschetta, just sayin...)

Thumbs down Re: Walden Farms products

ok, i tried their marshmellow dip. i thought if it had the right texture, i could use it in making up a new treat.

ugh. it did have a marshmellowy taste, sort of. but the texture really bugged me. it was...well, gritty. i will usually mix things to get use out of them if i am not crazy about them, but i threw this one out because i just didn't forsee any reasonable use for it.

    no can recommend.

I failed to mention above what I use the chocolate syrup for..........my chocolate protein shakes. I take 8 oz of unsweetened, chocolate Almond Breeze Almond Milk and add: a dolop of WF choc. syrup, a scoop of protein powder (currently I'm using EAS since that's what Sam's Club carries) a shot of SF chocolate coffee syrup (torani or davinci) and a bit of my stevia-splenda-sweetnlow mix. I whiz it up in my bullet and VIOLA, a lovely chocolate shake! YUM! The WF choc. syrup gives it a nice chocolate depth.
