| That sounds very good, Rob. I think I'll give those a try. I missed pita bread, but haven't touched it for a few years, myself. Toufayan Bakeries Low Carb Pita Bread thanks for sharing this, rob!

| Good to know, Rob. I miss the days of a pita stuffed with chicken salad and alfalfa sprouts. Dixie, I love the product review forum. Thanks! |

| they taste exactly like the "real" pita to me...granted, it's been 2003 since i ate regular pita bread so i could be off, but it was just as i remembered it.

| WalMart has a low carb pita and also a Lavash(wrap) bread available also. The brand is Joseph's Oat Bran & Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour Pita Bread (5 net carbs), and Joseph's Flax, Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Flour Lavash Bread (4 net carbs). They are located in the Deli section of WalMart. They are very good and they both freeze well. |

| i need to start up my shopping list! thank you all for the ideas and tips...neti, i think it's a good idea to ration those, too...it would probably be easy enough to start snarfing them up (if you're anything like me)!

| Yeah, on the Lavash and the Pita, I like to cut them up with a pizza cutter, spray with some olive oil(or other), sprinkle with salt, garlic salt, onion powder (or whatever you like), and bake in the oven and use as crackers or chips for "taco salad", egg salad, or with a soup, or cream cheese dip. One lavash makes a lot of chips! You can also deep fry the strips and then salt them for crispier chips. |
