| I have been buying Smuckers Splenda sweetened preserves, love the blackberry and strawberry especially. Now we found Great Value Splenda sweetened preserves at WalMart, much, much cheaper, same stuff. These have 5 carbs per tablespoon, which at first glance seems a lot, but I seldom have more than a teaspoon or 2 at a time. These are good for a bit of sweet in your cottage cheese, atop a bran crisp with cream cheese, as a topping on your cheese cake or pound cake. And a small jar will go a long way, since you aren't going to be eating a lot at a time. I've also mixed some preserves with the Walden Farms strawberry or blueberry syrup for a nice topping for any of the above-mentioned items. These do contain polydextrose and maltodextrin, so if these ingredients are problematic for you, then you might want to avoid these products.
