Default Splenda minis

Splenda has come out with a new product called splenda minis. The product is in pill form, about the size of saccharine pills. So very small. Each pill has the sweetness of half a packet of splenda. which for me is good since I only use 1/2 a packet in my coffee. The neat thing about this product is it comes in a dispenser with a sliding clicky thingy (technical term). one click and out pops one pill. There are 100 pills per dipenser but since the pills are so small the dispenser is compact and will fit in a pocket or purse very easily. The nutrition panel lists carbs as less than 1 gram but The owner of the carb wars blog contacted McNeil nutritionals, the maker of splenda products, and asked the exact carb count. They responded that each pill has .04 carb grams. That would be only 4 carb grams per dispenser. The ingedients in these pills is lactose (listed first so lactose intolerant people beware) sucralose, L-leucine and croscarmellose sodium.

I've used these, Rob. They sure are handy to have on hand at those restaurants that only have white, pink & blue packets. Or to keep in your desk at work. Thanks for the nutritional info.

Thanks, Rob.

I haven't seen this yet ... but maybe because I wasn't looking.

Seems like a useful thing to add to the oddball collection of stuff I carry around in my purse. I can probably tuck it in next to my purple pocket leatherman.

picked some up this morning - gotta be better than carrying packets - I'm tired of the 'splenda dust' I get sometimes.

thanks for pointing them out.
