Default Jack Link's Turkey Jerky

I was scared to try the turkey jerky, but I am glad I did! The jerky was very good and only has 3 carbs per serving. As with any jerky it is full of sodium, but it is worth it for an occasional treat. It was not all hard and tough like some beef jerky.

Good Idea Barb! I have a dehydrator too. Most recipes would have sugar or teryaki or something I assume. should I just tweak it so it has no carbs or do you have a recipe you could share perhaps? I can check the recipe thread, if there is one there.
Hunting season is near and hopefully my husband will get a deer this year! I have made jerky only once with beef, never tried anything else. I never even thought of making turkey jerky! We usually buy 6 turkeys when on sale around Thanksgiving and freeze them for the future and grind them as needed.

Any suggestions or recipes would be helpful or just point me in the right direction! Thanks!

I pretty much just make up my own recipes. I throw a little of this and a little of that in and make sure I use Splenda or Stevia as the sweetener if I'm making a teryaki version. I have a ton of Asian flavoring things, so I will use a little of everything, plus minced garlic, a little white wine, Chinese 5 spice, sesame oil, fresh ginger, and tenderizer etc. I marinate the meat for a couple of day in the frig, drain it and then stick it in the dehydrator. It makes the BEST jerky! You can stop at any point before it becomes shoe leather.
