    Default Server Upgrade Happening Soon

    Dear Members:

    A malicious worm which hacks and defaces php-based bulletin boards is circulating quickly across the internet.

    I have asked my host to upgrade my server to prevent this, but it may take them some time to get to it.

    As soon as I get the word from them that they are starting the upgrade, the site will be taken down temporarily to faciliate the process.

    PS: it has been mostly affecting phBB boards, but any server running a certain config of php is at risk.

    The server has been upgraded and we should be protected. Not that it will affect home PC users. But it could have damaged the board.

    I never did get vandalism - on line or off. I don't understand the mentality of someone who's mission is to screw up someone else's work - someone who's not even bothering them.
