It's spring here at LCE, and I love spring. The newness, the growth, and the freshness all sort of clear the cobwebs out of your brain, you know? We've got some exciting stuff going on here at LCE, and I thought I'd take a minute to tell folks about it.

Your first question at this point might well be, "Hey! Why is Goddess talking about this instead of Andrea, the site owner and founder?" Well, ok. I'm gonna tell ya.

Of course, many of you know our esteemed founder, Andrea. Andrea was finding that she wasn't in the position to devote the amount of time and energy to LCE that she would have liked, and so, Andrea has contracted me to provide the day-to-day administrative tasks for LCE. Andrea does remain the site owner, and is currently providing what I like to call "executive consulting" at the moment. Which means she good-naturedly weathers my frequent barrage of questions whenever I toss 'em at her. And I thank her. Repeatedly. So far, it works for us.

I will be looking at site updates, upgrades, content additions, and working with promoting LCE to new audiences and growing the site. So we've got some cool stuff coming up, I think. I'll be sharing more as we get to it.

And since I'm pretty new at this business overall, I've drafted help. We've created the position of "Assistant Administrator," who will help with the admin tasks, decision-making, site planning and growth. Basically, the assistant administrator serves as my back-up brain and reality check, not to mention another set of hands to help with the work. I couldn't be more delighted with it...after some discussion, I have managed to convince one of our mods to take on the role....

So I'd like to officially announce the very first LCE Assistant Administator: Our very own Maggie!

Knowing your energy and enthusiasm, Goddess, this is a good thing for LCE--and a break for Andrea. Best wishes to you--and all of us!

What can we do to help with "promotion"? I'm convinced that having a support group is a vital factor for successful weight management. In fact, the NWCR (National Weight Control Registry) lists it along with exercise, eating breakfast, and keeping a journal as one of the keys. You can quote 'em on that!
