Hello Folks. As many of you may know, back in April of this year, I took over the administrative functions for LCE from Andrea Mondello, who founded LCE as a personal-help type site in 1999. Andrea ran the site for many years, but eventually found herself ready to move on to other projects.

Andrea's firm commitment to making sure LCE remained here for the community meant she couldn't just sell it off to the highest bidder. That's where I came in. Because of my tech background and work as an LCE moderator, Andrea knew I could and would maintain the site for our members instead of turning our little LC Home into a giant sales pitch for diet pills or something.

Our plan was to give me a chance to "test drive" the site, with the idea that if it went well, I would ultimately purchase the site from her.

And that's exactly what we're doing! I am becoming the new owner of LCE, and share Andrea's commitment to maintaining a safe, friendly community for low-carbers to gather. So while the face of LCE will change, our core values will not.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all, for making this the kind of place I'd want to be. I'll do my best to help the site grow and prosper and become an even better resource for those seeking better health through low carb.

I'm not complaining, though, for sure. I've learned a bunch of stuff in the last few months. So it's all good, man. And I'm excited about working on the site, too, and figuring out how we might like to use it. That's the fun part for me.

She's been hard at work for months on numerous "back end" issues just like that!
