Lightbulb Reusing an Image that's been Attached to another Post

Here's how to reuse an image in the forum that was already attached to another post. First, find the post with the original image in it. Click on the thumbnail to get the full size version. Click on the full size image again, once it pops up in the black box. This will give you just the image in your browser.

You need to find the location, shown at the top of your browser in the address bar. You'll be cutting and pasting the image's location to reuse it. Windows users can use Control+C (pressed at the same time) to copy the image's location.

Then go to the post you want to add the image to. Click the "Image" icon on your editor. It's the little tree picture.

A little box opens up that you can paste the image location into...make sure you erase the "http:" part in there that shows up automatically, or you'll have it twice. Control+V will paste the image's location.

This will show the fullsize image in the body of your post. That's what I did to show the full size versions of the images attached to this post, for example.

Questions, just let me know.

Thanks! Before i read this I tried to post a picture that had already been posted in my 2006 journal. I clicked on the link and all it did was take me to the first post of my 2006 journal. well there are 123 pages, over 2400 posts in that journal. Was not willing to go page by page so i found a solution. I opened up the picture from my documents and edited it with my photoeditor. I changed the size and renamed the picture and I was able to post it again.

by the way, you can include any image that's online using that little tree icon. if you right click on the image, and select properties (again, windows users), it will show the image's location, which you again cut and paste into the little box as illustrated above.

Another, especially easy way to reuse images with the board upgrade: using the new Albums.

If you add an album (here), when you view a picture in your album, it provides you with the images location, or the bb code (which you can cut and paste directly into the editor!) to show the picture.

You can always find your albums listed on your user profile.
