| We went to San Antonio to see Dan's sister & her husband. The shelter is giving them excellent care. It seems that half the people there are people with health problems, the rest are individuals or families. They are doing ok, health aside. And they are going home tomorrow. Their neighbor called to tell them the power is on, they'll have to boil their water for a few days, but she took them a case of bottled water from when they get home. They chose to spend the night in the shelter & they'll be taken by medical van home tomorrow. It's a 5 hour drive, minimum. Again, thanks to all for their kind thoughts while we were so worried about them.

| i'm SO glad to hear they are getting back home, nita! and i was especially heartened to hear they were well cared for during the crisis. That's one thing that's clear - it seemed people did learn from Katrina and these disasaters were so much better handled. I hear you, Angel. We live in Tornado Alley. I've been lucky never to have been directly in one, but there have been hits very closeby. Kind of brings it home a bit, you know? My heart certainly goes out to others impacted by the powerful natural disasters...
