Some hundred or so of you will be getting an email from LCE stating that your password has been reset. The current version of our forum software runs a check for people who are using a password identical to their username and blows the whistle on you.

Now, I understand the motivation. I have about a kajillion passwords myself! So many, in fact, that I bought an addon just to manage and keep track of them for myself. So hey, I feel your pain.

But really, this is a frightfully poor security practice, and we just can't leave it this way. If you run a webserver for a couple of days, you'll be quickly shocked into realizing the number of people trying to break in to any opening, 24/7. It doesn't take long to realize there are lots of ugly people out there.
