I always need to revisit recipes to revitalize my food choices. I can get into ruts. A new recipe always gets me excited. If your food is yummy, you won't get bored with it.

Having a realization....really, really, really, being honest with yourself,[or your alias]...you know, the person looking back at you in the mirror!
Having a visualization...of yourself at where you want to be... ___pounds [fill in the blank], slim, healthy, energetic, and for me, I'd add athletic to the list!
Really wrapping your head around, "Nothing tastes as good as being slim & trim feels!"

These things have been said many times, and sometimes words just go into your ears, and right back out, at a rather rapid pace, especially if it's something you're not receptive to[at the time].
But, when the timing is perfect, you wrap your whole being around the desire and the need, and begin your journey to eat healthy and lose weight...either for the first time, or for the
ump-teenth time, the mental part doesn't change. Ya gotta want it for yourself!

Shelley said it perfectly! I've posted a paragraph at the link, but Shelley says it best. Ya gotta WANT IT. And sometimes, you just have to think about wanting it for a long time before the moment hits. Personally, I think it's a mystery.

I agree, Shelley said what is so hard to put into words. You have to determine that it's all under your own control. No one is forcing the food down your throat. Quit blaming others........ and along with that, remember, EVERY THING YOUR PUT IN YOUR MOUTH COUNTS!!, quit kidding yourself.

When I mean business, I DECARB the house first. Get out all the junk that has made its way in, whether by me, or by my family. My boyfriend and nephew know we live low carb, but sometimes they pick something up without realizing how bad the carbs are...

By actually throwing away the junk, it is also making a good impact on my brain and prepares me to decarb MYSELF... thus getting back on the wagon and riding it out.
