Thread: Thanks for Using the LCE Links to Amazon, Etc.!

Just wanted to thank folks who made the effort to use the LCE links to places like Amazon. By starting your shopping here, you can help support the site, and it doesn't cost you anything extra on your order. And in case anyone's worried about privacy, while I can see what products were ordered collectively, I can't see who ordered what. So no worries. Both large and small purchases do help, as the percentage paid back to LCE depends in part on the number of items ordered, so don't think that a small purchase doesn't matter, because they all help!

From October - December of last year, LCE earned over $50 in Amazon referral fees from purchases initiated through the site. People ordered everything from what you'd expect (Low Carb Books and exercise DVDs) to electronics, a digital camera, and even shoes. $14.52 of that was last month, and we already have a few purchases made in January.

People placing their first Netrition order through LCE earned us another $58 last summer, and we're at $15.76 currently for this year. We've also earned $3.70 from people shopping at the Low Carb Connoisseur Store.

And of course we have a number of folks who opted to become supporters of the LCE site, which also helps with the costs of running the site. Thanks to you LC friendly folks who can help in this way!

The upshot is that the combination of these links and the ad revenue have once again reached the point where the costs of running this site are consistently covered. That's a huge help to me personally not to need to worry about subsidizing the costs of running this site, and ultimately helps everyone who comes here by ensuring our long-term future.
