i just now figured out what you mean about the icons in the post edit. and i've noticed quick replys sometimes display with broken images. i suspect this is a side effect of something else i was trying to do.

sometimes when i try to fix one thing, i break something else.

My subsrciptions weren't working either. So I deleted them and did new subscritions. All worked fine.

Today I attempted to post a comment in the Blog section. Response was "Page Not Found." I'm sure you have plenty of other things.

I love the way the site is reshaping. Good show Dixie.

we're still having some issues with the subscription emails, yes. i have the mods helping me montior the various things i'm working with to fix it, and i suspect we'll have it working as expected again shortly. thank you for the report, though.

on the blog comment thing, thanks for letting me know that as well! i've been working on that, too, because adminstrators and mods have not been able to comment on the blogs yet. (we get the same thing you did.) This has been driving me NUTS as i get the urge to comment whenever i read a blog post but can't.... but i didn't know it also affected the members sometimes, too, so that's very helpful for me to know.

the blogs still don't look completely right, but they are mostly usable so i'll be coming back to that after i fix the stuff that's actually broken.

and thanks, too, for your feedback. shining up the place for our members is really the fun part of this job. and i've got plenty more shinin' to do!

Yes, I see the comment I posted about 15 minutes ago appeared. It is confusing when comments or posts don't show until some time later. I'm guessing you have this setup for a systematic refresh or some geekie thing like that. lol

comments normally should display right away, but i've been messing in the settings (and members have the ability to set it to moderate blog comments, too, as in you can control the comments made to your own blog.) so i'm not entirely sure all the settings are reasonable yet. and if you comment on a blog the owner has set to moderate comments, yours might not show up right away....but it could be something else, too. ha!
i'll keep an eye on 'em...

Ok, I think the blogs are in pretty good shape at this point. The layout is better and comments appear to be fixed. Yah!

Tom, plesae do let me know if you notice another delayed comment, and if you could pm me letting me know what blog entry you were commenting on and about what time of the day it was, that would allow me to go in and see exactly what's happening so I can determine the cause of the dealy. So if it comes up again and you don't mind, I'd much appreciate it.

Hey Goddess...Thanks so much for all your hard work on the site. I absolutely love the new look and the blogs...and all of it actually!

I am reporting this bug not so much as a complaint but really just to make you aware of it. Since this morning, when I post, after I hit the button to submit the post (I'm talking about the forum, not the blogs) my screen just goes white. I have to refresh or click on the site again in my favorites before anything shows up. When I do, my posts show up....so apparently it's working. I just have the whole white screen thing happening. I hope my description makes sense to you

it does make sense, vickie, because i have another report of the same issue. can you tell me about what time of the morning this happened? that lets me look at some logs to see if i can figure out what exactly is happening...

Edted to add: it didn't happen this time but it was happening from about 6:30am, pacific time and was still happening when I posted the problem here.

Ok, I have found and corrected a couple of configuration issues on the server that could impact this...please keep the updates coming, because this stuff doesn't always work the same for me as for everyone else, so I don't always know when it's working right for you and when it's not...we'll get 'em hammered out one at a time!
