i hope you don't mind me asking, i have searched to try and find the answer, but how do i stop the emails of my posts coming to me?

In your User Control Panel (User CP link above)

On the left hand menu, go to Edit Options (under Settings and Options).

That will bring up a page where you can scroll down to the Thread Subscription Mode. In that box is a pull down menu, where you can choose not to be notified by email of subscribed threads or, indeed, not to subscribe to threads at all.
