Hello everyone I've been following this WOE for a couple months now, no particular plan (the forum for this "no" plan has not come back on line yet). Have been trying to do carb control as well as a bit of calorie control as well, since the weight wasnt coming of like I thought it would. Here's my question: as a WOMAN who only needs to lose at most 15 lbs, is it just harder to lose weight in this situation?? I have only lost 4 lbs!! Very frustrating to say the least. Am doing cardio and strength training as well. any thoughts or suggestions welcomed. thanks! i did reply to the email sent to me. however i noted that there was no message, just a "!". send me another so i can reply again.!!!!

Sue, the less you have to lose, the slower it goes. Sorry! Dryad

Yes, as I got smaller it was more challenging to keep losing. I had to increase the low carb veggies and trim my other food portions; and choose lower fat options more often and high fat foods less often. To help me get a grip on that portion control, I started tracking total calories as well as carbs. So, I had to be content with losing about 2 lbs a month. Basically, I was okay with that. It tended to come off in whooshes - nothing for a week or three, then 1 or 2 lbs over night. I also started exercising more regularly, which I believe helped a lot. I had only been exercising, maybe twice a week. I joined the walk a day challenge and that helped get me moving a lot more often. On the old board, we had a challenge thread for losing the last 10-15 lbs. That actually help me stay focused. ~~~Teelbee 174 (Mar. 2002, highest weight), 164 (Jan. 2003, begin LC) 164/135/137-134 remember, amateurs built the Ark, professionals built the Titanic

On induction, I lost 10 lbs. the first 2 weeks. Then nothing for 6 weeks. I decided to pay more attention to calories and realized I was eating over 2,000 calories a day. I began cutting down on calories big time (I was eating 900 - 1000 a day and felt full and satisfied). I lost the last 15 FAST!!! I'm talking in about 2 weeks!!! I was also eating about 20 -30 carbs a day. That was 9 months ago and I'm still maintaining. Now I eat about 1500 calories a day and 30 carbs. Nicolle 145/120/120 - 5'6"

Okay, Nicolle, what were you eating? I'm about in your place except I've been waiting to lose this last 10 for at least a couple of months. Thanks! Cindy "Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." I Corinthians 10:31
