Hey y'all -

This week I've had a backache in between my shoulder blades, and for whatever reason, this is affecting my chest as well. The chest pains only crop up when my back gets bad, and they seem to be strictly muscular, but it's still worrisome, especially since I start a new job on Monday that's going to require lots of lifting. I have a physical on Tuesday, but in the meantime, does anyone have any advice for me? Oh, sometimes I get pains around my sternum as well, and those are definitely muscular in origen. Ibuprofen is helping somewhat, while aspirin, my usual choice of painkiller, does nothing.

Dryad,
Don't want to scare you but a year ago yesterday I had the same symptoms with an added pain down my right arm and pain up my right jaw common in women. I though it was my gall badder (heard women die because of diagnosing themselves think Heart Problems are an mans disease, WRONG!) went to the ER and before I knew it they were treating me for heart blockage. Four days later I had 5 by- passes on my heart. The good news is I have never felf better. I am 60 years old and feel like a 20 year old.

My advice: Go ahead and get this checked out. If I had not listened to my husband and his pushing me to the hospital I would not be here typing this message to you. Better safe than sorry for you and those who care about you including us!
Praying,

Dryad, please get yourself to the doctor immediately!

There is no other advice need given. We care about you very much, and would greatly appreciate it if you will update us on what you find out.

That said, I'm locking this thread.

(((hugs)))

Blessings!
