O.K. this doesn't really have to do with lcing, but I have a question.

I had my first child about 18 months ago. I didn't have my period all through breast feeding. So, I have only been having my period for about the last 10 months. Anyway, ever since my periods have been a lot different than before my pregnancy.

I now start spotting 2 or 3 days prior only when I wipe. Then I have it very strong for 2 days with a lot of clots (I never had that before I was preggo). I also have had my period twice in one month (December).

I want to get pregnant this summer so this is very concerning.

Oh yeah, at my check up a month after I had the baby, I had an irregular pap. They did another test and said it came back non-cancerous.
I called my gyno, but can't get in until April. Should I be at all concerned?

Good luck all!!

Seesko - I had the same experience after my first child, and also after the second when I decided to use an IUD for birth control (yippee, no hormones). Nothing to worry about, but I would mention it to your doc, for the sake of full disclosure. My kids were enormous, so I just attributed the changes in cycle to everything getting shifted around in there.

Re: the twice in one month thing, that could be related to LC or stress. In my case, TOM drags on forever (I think that is related to the facts that I am getting older). Other than that, are you fairly regular?

About the irregular pap - it is fairly common to get a fals positive, and your doc has retested and resolved. If doc didn't recommend more frequent testing, I wouldn't worry about that either. Keep the April appt, and talk about everything then.
