Hey K/D - how did this glucose tests go? Did you get your results back?
cowgirl - how did your husband react to the ultrasound? I'm glad for you that there weren't twins in there, and congrats on your son! I love the name!
Well, I've started week 32, and the countdown has begun! Baby was kicking up a storm last night, which was great to experience. I wish I could go on mat leave now - can't stand being at work any more. but, there's still so much to pay for, I just can't afford to not get that full paycheque...
Trying to eat more fruits and veggies, because I'm told that if you eat more veggies in the last trimester, the baby will learn to acquire a taste for veggies. Maybe my asparagus last night was what made her do a jig!
Still can't give up the carbs right now, so today I had a sub jam-packed with veggies and turkey, plus a large milk. Breakfast was a whole-wheat carrot muffin, apple, yogurt, and 2 apricots. Healthy, but not carb-smart. Tonight is pork chops, asparagus, salad, and a tiny scoop of pasta. then frozen yogurt for dessert.
how is everyone else doing with their carbs? I just can't get into the mindset of starting to limit them now, after 7 months of free-for-all. Although, it would probably help me control my weight gain for the next two months, but my strategy is just to eat more veggies and fill up on those. My DH eats low carb, so when I'm at home its easier, but breakfast and lunch at work is tough. Any advice?

)) because it is only a screening, not a diagnostic test, and there's not much they can do (although I guess they can do some stuff in utero now for spina bifida). Anyway, now that I'm over 35, I know in my next pregnancy they will push for amnio which I will not do because of the risk of miscarriage. If I'm not going to abort, then why do it... unless you are one that needs that time to prepare. But, I've heard many say that they really don't spend the time preparing... just worrying.
