| Hey ladies!! Got a quick question to ask you all. My best friend is about 11 weeks prego with her first. She works in a high stress environment and has slightly elevated blood pressure. I'm thinking of sending her some scented candles or something like that, but I wondered if any of you have some good ideas for stress relief. Any input greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

| Scented candles are good... leisurely walks in the morning/evening (faster pace if she wants to exercise)... resting as often as she feels like it... spending time w/ friends-laughter, camaraderie... Massage (esp. foot and back)...

| My personal experience suggests: She needs to be sure to drink her water, take her supplements and rest as much as she can. Caffeine free herbal teas are good -- but she should confirm which ones are ok while pregnant. Of course, she should be watching her carb sources. That will do a lot to regulate her bp, IMO. Also, table salt is nasty. If she isn't using sea salt, that would be another biggy I'd suggest. Tell her congrats |
