Ongoing Losses
If you want to learn about low-carb diets (e.g. the Atkins Diet, Protein Power Diet, South Beach Diet, or other low carb plans), this is a great place to start. The most important tip we can give you is this: no one diet works for every "body." In fact, we've come to believe that no one diet works for any one "body" at every stage of life. You'll fine-tune your eating plan as you learn what works for you and what doesn't. We want to help.
The route to success with low carb dieting (or any weightloss program) is to understand that you are making permanent lifestyle changes—not simply going through the motions "until you lose the weight." So stop thinking "diet" and start finding your Low Carb Zen, baby!

Another year has come to a close. How did you do? Did you finally lose that extra weight? Did you estatically go shopping for smaller sizes? Did you actually live up to your promises of keeping the weight off this time?
Holiday Splurging
Submitted by MarcieLynn on Sun, 12/16/2007 - 03:29.Splurging. I could write a book about it. I'm the queen of splurge! In the past, I could always find a reason to eat something I know I shouldn't. Everything from a vacation in a far off land to catching green lights all the way home; all were fodder for celebration.
I've gotten a little better over the years since beginning my low carb woe. I'm not perfect, by any means, but I have made much progress. These days, I try to limit my splurges to truly worthy occasions rather than impulse buys at the fresh, hot bread rack.
Staying on Track While ENJOYING Your Vacation
Submitted by MarcieLynn on Wed, 06/16/2004 - 05:00.Recently, I've noticed many people talking about their summer travel plans and contemplating, with trepidation, how they will handle their food intake while on the road. It can be a very stressful proposition. Trying to 'diet' while on vacation rarely works (at least for most of us) but at the same time, it's a good idea to remain somewhat controlled in order to not ruin all our previous hard work.
