I've been following my plan and exercising, so why is the scale stuck?
When you start an exercise program at the same time that you adopt a low carb (or any other weight loss) program, you'll often find that there's no big change on the scale in the beginning stages. If you've been sedentary and start a vigorous exercise program, you'll be building muscle.
Muscle, square inch for square inch, weighs much more than fat. The same weight of muscle doesn't take up as much room as the same weight of fat.
But, muscle is good! The more muscle you have, the better your metabolism works. Some people are building muscle so well that, as the fat burns off, they don't see a big difference on the scale. That's why it is often recommended that you take measurements and/or pick out some "before" clothing, to test your progress when the scale seems to disappoint.
