Low Carb Diet Recipe: Divine Lime Pie

Ingredients

  • For the Shell:
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup splenda For the filling:
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup splenda
  • 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream – chilled
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • Instructions

    Meringue: Preheat the oven to 275 degrees. Generously butter a 9-inch pie plate. In a mixing bowl beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy. Beat in the splenda very slowly 1 tableshppon at a time until stiff and glossy about 10 minutes.
